#CBC30DayBloggingChallenge: Thank you post

It’s Day 27 of the #CBC30DayBloggingChallenge.  Today, I have to write a gratitude or “Thank You” post for all who supported WhyCebu.Com in its first few months of existence. This “baby” blog has been growing steadily in the last few weeks and it could not have happened without the help of other people.

  1. Thank you, Bjorn Bernales for giving me an opportunity to start a 30-day blogging challenge. I am very happy that he was open to my ideas and being tireless in posting the challenges daily. Without Bjorn, the challenge would not have prospered
  2. I also want to say how grateful I am to all challengers who joined the #CBC30DayBloggingChallenge. Some were not able to last until this day, but I am still grateful for all those who initially signed up for the challenge.  I know that those who quit had good reasons not to pursue the challenge and I totally understand them.
  3. I want to thank my wife, Stephanie, for being so supportive with my blogging activities and allowing me to use the laptop the whole day. Without her support, I do not think I can last one week writing on my blogs. She can always say give me the laptop and I would not be able to write anymore.
  4. I would also like to mention my cousin Rose Lawas and the carers for Mommy Ely, Kim and Ruby for taking care of my aunt.  They have been doing a great job and their performance allowed me to focus on this blog.
  5. Nezte Virtudazo, you have been the person that has been keeping me awake for the past few weeks.  I know your heart is still broken, but your fighting spirit has also inspired me to be positive with the battles that I am facing.  I am learning a lot about myself every time we talk about your situation. Thank you for treating me to a massage at Prana yesterday.
  6. I would also like to thank Channel and Jeph of “CBKS” for being my blogger bffs. I always have fun when we hang out together. I hope that we can have another bonding session in the coming month. Jeph, do not forget our pasalubong although, your presence is enough for us. Right Shanks?
  7. I also would like to give some props to Brennan Mercado of http://www.baktincorporation.com/ for giving me opportunities to meet important people in my niche. You have been instrumental in many events in both of my blogs. I really would want you to go back to the Cebu Blogging Community. I am certain that you are one asset that CBC should have. #travelpamore
  8. I want to thank the various PR firms here in Cebu like BigSeed and Campaigns & Grey for including me in some of their events. I never imagined writing for events of big companies. I started blogging as a hobby, but the more events I joined, the more inspired I am to be a better blogger/writer.
  9. Ka Bino Guerrero, please stay as awesome as ever. Some of my best posts came from you. Without you, I would not have met some important people in Cebu and have a chance to pick their brains about their vision on our beloved island.
  10. Thank you, Ruben and Irene Licera! You guys rock! Ruben, you are the master and I always love your passion about what we do. I hope someday I can even be 75% as good as you. Irene, I always have a grand time when  I see you in events.
  11. To Mary, Jhanis, Gay and the rest of the leads, thank you for steering CBC to a good direction. You all have been stellar and I am so proud to be part of this vibrant blogging community.
  12. I would also like to thank my mom for being so supportive despite being a senior citizen. I can honestly say that I have one of the coolest moms in the world. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I would hope that you will still be my mom then.
  13. To my siblings, thank you for visiting me recently. It has been a while since we were together and I really appreciate that we were able to see each other after 5 years.  I hope that I can visit you all down under next year.
  14. I also want to thank my brother Charles for introducing me to Lor Torres and April Rama of Isidra Comfort Cantina. I think I will be working with a lot of people you know soon.
  15. Big thanks to April Rama for inviting me to some of her events. I never knew that you are into the PR business and I was totally surprised that you invited me to join a big event of a giant company.  I am looking forward to working more with you.
  16. JL Mainit, I may have been a “bully” sometimes, but I am so grateful that you invited me to a tour aboard the PY Antipodes. I am looking forward to more kulitan moments with you, Richard, Hoven, and Thadz in Siquijor. I know we will also have a sensational time there.
  17. Thank you, Coy Oliva of Gibbs’ Hot Wings, for being so generous and hospitable to bloggers. I am rooting for you and your restaurant. May you be blessed with continued success.
  18. Thank you to the people behind Tokyo Table. I have eaten there for 2 consecutive weeks and I am really grateful to them for giving me the opportunity to write about the best buffet in the city.
  19. Keene Albert Tan, you are the best! I really loved the buffet at Diamond Suites Hotel. Thank you so much for inviting bloggers to try both of your sumptuous buffets. I really consider your hotel’s buffet especially the #internationalfeastival as one of the best buffets under 500 pesos. I would be going back there soon. Thank you also for posting so many events and giving CBC bloggers blogging opportunities. Let’s have a food trip soon.
  20. I also want to thank Florezil Agujetas and the Rainmakers for being my family in the last 5 years. We had a good run and a rebirth is in store.  I am ready to take our business to the next level and I hope we will still work together when it happens.
  21. I am grateful to my parents in law for being there for my wife and I. I want to thank them for all the support in the past decade.  I really consider myself to be lucky to have in-laws like you.
  22. To my dad and family in Bohol, thank you for all the love.  I know I have not spent much time there, but I am hoping that I will have an opportunity to visit you next year. I know that you are all proud of us all despite not seeing as much.
  23. Thanks to all my syndication buddies for sharing my post and commenting on my blogs. I really appreciate your time and effort.  All of you are instrumental in generating traffic to my blogs. You are all amazing and I am always willing to reciprocate and return the favor.
  24. To Lotlot, Angela, and Andrea, thanks for bringing me to your food trips and allowing to take pictures for my blogs.  You guys helped me gather enough materials to create solid blog posts about the different food spots in Cebu. My food blog has opened a lot of opportunities for me.
  25. I want to thank my car for bringing me safely to destinations and making me arrive early on my appointments. I am truly blessed having a car and it has been a big factor in my blogging activities. Also to the MacBook Air of my wife for being a workhouse.  This has been my main blogging tool and my blogs would have been non-existent without this laptop and the phones that I use for photos.
  26. Thank you Janice Polotan for visiting Cebu recently. We might not have spent much time, but I am very pleased that I was able to see you on your very short visit. Thank you to your family for your generosity and prayers.
  27. I would like to thank the Philippine Information Agency for giving me an opportunity to join the #SensationalSiquijor activity. I am looking forward to visiting the mystical island for the first time and make new friends.
  28. Thank you to all the members of the Cebu Blogging Community. I never expected that joining this community would be this fun. I have met a lot of interesting members and I am looking forward to more meet-ups soon. I also want thank you all for giving me your vote of confidence as your food lead. I will do everything to be your fantastic food lead as always. heheh. I was more hoping to be the fashion lead, but food lead is a big honor as well. hehehe
  29. I also want to give thanks to all the remaining survivors of the 30-day blogging challenge. It has been a long journey and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I admire your commitment and focus. I am confident that this activity will have a positive impact in our blogging careers.
  30. Most of all, I want to thank God. I know that I would not have the ideas and words without the blessings from above. I am facing some great battles right now, but I know I am equipped by God to overcome all of my challenges. 😉

Thanks for the opportunity for being a “bully” as well. 🙂 Kidding aside, I always know you have a soft spot for eccentric and weird people like me. We may come from different backgrounds but still, having you as the big brother in our small group of friends is enough for me to bring back my faith to humankind. Seriously. 🙂
